While some things get more difficult with age, breathing should not. Yet 1 in 5 Canadians has lung disease. Shortness of breath is the main symptom of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) – an umbrella term for progressive lung diseases such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
