Taking care of yourself: Self-compassion for caregivers

Caring for someone you love can be both rewarding and exhausting. This session offers caregivers space to reflect on their own needs and explore how self-awareness, self-compassion, and resilience can support their well-being. Together, we’ll look at ways to recognize signs of stress, recharge your “caregiver battery,” and take small, meaningful steps toward self-care. The session also highlights free programs and resources available through Family Caregivers of BC, including the Caregiver Support Line, support groups, and educational tools designed to help caregivers feel less alone and more supported in their caregiving journey.
